For all those of you who have bacteria-phobia, an article in today's Times Press Recorder stated which South County beaches had the most violations of bacteria levels. Avila Beach, halfway between the creek and the pier had the most violations. Spyglass Park in Shell Beach had the fewest. They don't know where the bacteria is coming from, just testing the levels in the ocean. What's also interesting is that January is the worst month, followed by February, March, October, December (these were from tests conducted in 2004).
