A blog reader emailed me to let me know that the Chernobyl motorcycle tour that I posted last week was fiction. Doing some checking, I found that the woman that put the motorcycle story together actually took the photos during a tour with her husband. She reportedly took the motorcycle helmet with her on the tour. So, while the photos were authentic as is the tragedy behind them, the motorcycle part was fantasy.
